Environment Friendly Processes

The company’s proud reputation as a processor and supplier to important international markets stems largely from its world class environmental standards. It is committed to protecting the ocean environment and its processing and canning plant at Levuka meets stringent international requirements.

Fish Resources

PAFCO absolutely rejects gill-netting and drift-netting and maintains strict controls to ensure none of the fish it packs has been caught by methods harmful to any marine animals.

Environment

PAFCO is currently undergoing a review to be certified as a zero-waste company. All our Tuna waste is processed and fishmeal is produced. This is a high protein fertilizer with really high demand in the market. The fluids are used for extraction of crude fish oil and this process clears up the fluids mixed with water. Very little residue is left after the entire process is completed. Any and all waste water has been certified safe for the environment and are discharged carefully to ensure that the environment is not affected
